Senior Engineer

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, commercially aware Senior Technician to join our dynamic support team for on-site and remote IT support in Bolton.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support via phone or email
  • Record and update incidents through the ITSM system
  • Own support tickets, adhering to SLAs
  • Communicate effectively to resolve issues
  • Maintain high levels of customer service
  • Document resolutions in knowledge base
  • Mentor 1st line team members
  • Liaise with 3rd party solution providers
  • Assist in planning and delivery of projects
  • Conduct on-site repairs and installations

Person Specification

  • Team player with initiative
  • 2+ years in IT Support/Managed Services
  • Calm under pressure
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Flexible with travel and projects
  • Eager to learn new technologies
  • Understanding of ITIL best practices

Technical Skills

Essential:

  • Microsoft Windows, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory
  • Desktop OS (Windows 7/8/10/11), Remote Desktop Services, network infrastructure
  • Server infrastructure design and upgrades, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Microsoft Azure
  • Firewalls configuration and installation
